Nestled along 85 Oxford Street in Quezon City, Moonlight Over Pares is a standout gem for lovers of authentic Filipino comfort food with a refined twist. This cozy restaurant specializes in premium beef pares—a savory-sweet braised beef stew that manages to feel both hearty and delicately nuanced. Chef Isaac Bravo and his family have created more than just a place to eat; they’ve curated an intimate dining experience that’s as warm and inviting as the dishes served.
From the moment you step inside, the ambiance draws you in with its thoughtfully designed interior inspired by "moonlight over Paris," offering tranquil lighting paired with soft, tasteful music that perfects the mood. It’s a calm and quiet oasis amidst the energetic pulse of Metro Manila, ideal for casual dinners or small reunions. The atmosphere beckons you to slow down and savor each bite.
The culinary offerings here are a celebration of beef pares reinvented with creativity and care. The standout dish, of course, is the classic Pares Gyudon, perfectly balanced with a harmonious blend of saltiness and subtle sweetness that melts in your mouth. Equally exciting are inventive takes like the Beef Bao Pares—pillowy bao buns filled with tender, flavorful beef—and the Beef Phores, a clever fusion of beef pho and traditional pares that surprises with its comforting depth. For noodle lovers, the Crispy Pancit Pares and the Miegoreng Pares are must-tries, packing a delightful crunch and fiery kick if you choose to add their signature chili confit sauce. These dishes awaken the palate with layers of smoky, sweet, and savory notes, all served in generous portions that honor the value of hearty home-cooked meals.
Customer reviews paint a vivid picture of satisfaction: Carolyn Dominguez raves, "Best pares ever! The food and ambiance is great. The owner Isaac and his family are very accommodating as well." Another diner, Kenneth Tan, highlights the restaurant’s cozy, tucked-away charm, perfect for those craving premium beef paired with a soothing atmosphere. Whether it’s a spontaneous discovery during a drive or a well-planned visit, each guest finds something memorable—be it the perfectly tempered dishes praised by Dada Vila or the nostalgic comfort praised by Tin Chua-Santiago during a childhood reunion.
What truly sets Moonlight Over Pares apart is the owner’s personal touch; Chef Isaac’s commitment to using only premium beef ensures every bite bursts with tenderness and rich flavor. Plus, for those looking to bring the experience home, frozen packs are available, extending the enjoyment beyond the restaurant walls.
If you find yourself in Quezon City seeking a meal that feels both special and familiar, Moonlight Over Pares is an absolute must-visit. Here, food is not just sustenance—it’s a thoughtfully crafted moment of joy, a perfect harmony of taste and ambiance, inviting you back again and again.

Taste superb. I dont like burning my tongue over piping hot food. So when the food arrived at our table, it was the perfect temp for me. Pares Gyudon had the perfect blend of saltiness and sweetness. The pho-res was interesting. Mie-goreng pares will be my go to next time. If you like spicier dishes, you can ask for chili confit sauce - it goes well with everything. Even the mayo dip for the onion rings had the eseense of pares. Must try at least once so you know you have to come back for more.

We celebrated our quick childhood reunion here. Not only we loved everything served, but the place is so friendly, cozy and ventilated. Food is superb - nothing basic, not too exquisite - but hits home kind of delicious! Loved everything about Moonlight over Pares!!!

A nice, cozy spot on Oxford street, a little off Cubao. The food is fantastically delicious especially if you love pares and beef. It's a must try! Chef Isaac Bravo only uses premium beef, and you can take home frozen packs, too.

After a year of not being home from the Philippines. My amazing big brother KEDS recommended me to visit Chef Isaac Bravo's fine establishment. MOONLIGHT OVER PARES! Which serves only premium beef and frozen orders to go. My family and friends tried all the pares dishes. Indeed all are delicious. Once I get the chance to visit this place again I will indeed try another round of those amazingly yummy Beef Pares. This is the place to spend time to have a mini reunion. Located just around Oxford street, Cubao. Definitely the place to be! Cheers to MOONLIGHT OVER PARES and Chef Isaac Bravo! Thank you everyone and until we all meet again! \m/,
